A 16 year old Knotts Island female is in custody, charged with 1st Degree Murder in the death of her newborn infant daughter.

Overnight Roadwork Scheduled on Knotts Island
An overnight work project will close NC 615 in Knotts Island from 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25 until 5:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26. DOT crews will replace a drainage pipe underneath the road.
The location of the closure on NC 615 is 0.12 miles north of White Neck Road (SR 1390).
