Currituck County Government has issued a mandatory evacuation for all Currituck County
residents and visitors, effective 8:00 a.m., August 26, 2011.
Due to the progress of Hurricane Irene, Currituck County is currently under a Hurricane
Watch, which means hurricane conditions are possible within 48 hours. Currituck County
