In the May 4th Democratic Primary for the District 3 seat on the Currituck County Board of Commissioners, challenger David Palmer of Barco, defeated incumbent commissioner Barry Nelms of Poplar Branch.
Palmer carried 67% (1058 total) of the total votes cast to Nelms’ 33% (519).

You may register and vote in the curbside absentee voting until Saturday May 1. On Primary Day, Tuesday, May 4 only registered voters may cast their ballots.
