Habel, Dennis – Obituary
Hertford, NC ~ Dennis William Habel, 69, of 217 Red Banks Road, Hertford, NC died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Danville, IL, he was the son of the late William Statton Habel and Verna Ruth Smith and was the husband of Betty Jo Habel. Mr. Habel was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Smith of Hertford, NC and Susan Habel of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Jeffrey Statton Habel of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services are planned at this time. Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Habel family. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.twifordfh.com.
