Jon Cash - WAVY-TV weather man - fired

Jon Cash has been fired by WAVY-TV after more than 20 years at the station, the popular meteorolgist posted on his web site yesterday.
Cash, who also preaches and travels as an evangelist, put up a notice on his joncashministries.com site in which he said the station fired him on Tuesday afternoon, noting that “details of this sad event will be upcoming in the days and weeks ahead.”
WAVY general manager Doug Davis has not commented beyond an acknowledgment that Cash no longer works at the station.
