The Currituck County Center of North Carolina Cooperative Extension will be sponsoring a pruning demonstration workshop for fruit trees on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. This program will begin by meeting in the employee parking area at the Currituck County Extension Center in Barco, North Carolina before traveling to a local orchard for the pruning demonstration. Participants attending will have the opportunity to observe the different training systems for fruit trees, as well as the proper pruning techniques and the equipment needed. Those attending are reminded the program is being held outside and they should wear the appropriate attire. Anyone interested in attending should contact the Currituck County Center of North Carolina Cooperative Extension at 232-2262 to pre-register for this program.
