Barker, Diane - Obituary

Currituck, NC - Diane Barker, 54 went to be with the Lord on Jan. 9, 2010. She was born in Tarboro, to Margaret L. Jones and the late David J. Jones. Diane was a very devoted wife and caring mother to a family whom she dearly loved to be with, share special times and loving moments with. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Danny M. Barker of Shiloh; mother, Margaret L. Jones of Suffolk, Va.; daughter, Stacey Smith, her husband, Neel Smith; and Grammy’s Lil Angels, Hannah and Courtney Smith of Currituck; son, Brian “Bubba” Willoughby of Currituck; her step-children, Catherine Dillard, her husband, Tommy Dillard, their children, Abby and Leighann Dillard of Suffolk, Va. and Michael Barker and Jennell Robey, their children, Makayla and Tristen of Jacksonville, Fla.; her sister, Anita Riggs, her husband, Paul Riggs of Suffolk, Va. She shared a very special and loving bond with her three nephews, Ryan Riggs,his fiancé, Ashley Lantz, Jeremy and Trevor Riggs; and her great niece, Haley “Bugg” Riggs. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to all her loving friends, family, caregivers and Allison Fillmore for their special times and care during her final days. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Faith Alive Ministries, 423 Shell Road in Chesapeake, Va.
