The Currituck County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting with the Planning Board on Monday, March 23, 2009 , at 5:00 p.m. at the Courthouse Café on Caratoke Highway.

Will this be where they congratulate each other on pushing a highly questionable development project onto the citizens wallets?
Maybe this is for the island lots discussion. Get this explanation for why one PB member doesn’t like island lots.
“Mr. Clark stated he is concerned with changing the character of Currituck County by
changing the zoning district to OI which would allow the possible development of these
islands and set a precedent for the development off other islands in Currituck Sound.” That was from the recent PB minutes. He’s worried about changing the CHARACTER of the county for island lots, but not for 252 workforce apartments. Ha!
