Austin, Inez Jones : Obituary

Barco, NC - Inez Jones Austin, 74, of 4054 Caratoke Highway, Barco, NC, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Austin, a native of Currituck County, was the daughter of the late Cleveland Jones and Ada Walker Jones and the wife of Warren Franklin Austin of the residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Coinjock Baptist Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Warren F. Austin, Jr., of the residence and Stanley C. Austin of Walnut Island, NC; two sisters, Margaret Jolliff of Barco, NC and Flora Wharton of Maryland; and a brother, Forest Jones of Elizabeth City, NC. She was pre-deceased by a half-brother, G. C. Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Twiford Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is in charge of arrangements.
