Shiloh - Mrs. Isabell Forbes Kight, 87, of 118 Texas Road, Shiloh, NC died Thursday at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Kight, a native of Camden County, was the daughter of the late Jonathan Parker Forbes and Mary Elizabeth Riggs Forbes and the wife of Gideon “Gid” Kight of the residence. She was a homemaker, a Christian, and a charter member of Order of Easter Star Indian Ridge #319.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Toni Reel of Shiloh, NC; two sons, Ronald Kight and Charles Kight both of Shiloh, NC; three sisters, Dorothy Forbes of Statesville, NC, Nellie Forbes and Martha Vaughn both of Perry, GA; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild Izabella Claire Nash named in honor of her; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Roland Cooper and the Rev. Steve Gallop officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the lobby of the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
