At an early age, she committed her life to Christ and her gentle spirit radiated into the teaching of “her Little Girl’s Sunday School Classes”, encompassing a period of over 60 years combined teaching in Wanchese and Richmond. She was a respected and prayerful pillar of support within the Wanchese Assembly of God Church organization. She was a member and president of the Dare County Chapter of Women’s Aglow and for several years, participated in the Gideon’s jail/prison ministry until her health prevented. “Who can find a virtuous woman for her price is far above rubies.” Proverbs 30:10.” Aileen compassionately touched the lives of many with her love of The Lord, leaving a legacy of Christian servitude to many throughout Texas, Eastern North Carolina, and Virginia.
