First Flight Military Officers Association (FFMOA) will host Col. Fred Black, (USA Ret.) on Tuesday, March 3rd at Duck Woods Country Club where he will present a program titled “The Positive Economic Impact of Extending the Bailey Settlement to All Government Retirees” The North Carolina Council of Chapters has launched a campaign to extend the Bailey Settlement which would include all government retirees. This would exempt them from paying taxes State taxes on their retired pay. The campaign is based on the principle that this is an investment in the future of North Carolina resulting in a positive economic impact for the state. Col. Black is North Carolina’s Vice President of Legislative Affairs and serves on the 4th Branch Executive Committee. He brings an extensive knowledge of the subject. All active duty officers and warrant officers, Reserves and National Guard, plus former or retired offices and warrant officers, and surviving spouses are cordially invited to attend. MOAA is the nation’s leading association for military officers. The luncheon meeting will start with a social hour at 11:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 12:00 noon.
