The Whalehead Club is a little over 80 years old and you might say that’s relatively new compared to many historic homes. However, in the years that the Whalehead Club has graced the north banks of the Currituck Sound it has known many owners and distinguished visitors. Maybe you have toured the colorful rooms in the daylight and been curious about what it would feel like to be in the 21,000 sq. ft residence after dark. Our Docents have accumulated a treasure trove of legend and lore and invite the brave to come out and hear real ghost stories on Saturday, January 3rd at 7:00 pm. Admission for this Moonlight Ghost Tour is $14 per person with a 50% discount for children 12 and under. Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling 252-453-9040 ext. 2. Participants are advised to bring a flashlight and dress for the weather as part of the tour will be on the grounds. To get there, follow Rt. 12 N. till you get just past Milepost 11 in Corolla and look for the entrance to Currituck Heritage Park on your left. The next Moonlight Ghost Tours are scheduled for February 7, March 7 and April 4. Enjoy storytelling at it’s best and be reminded or learn why living on the Outer Banks is soooo cool!
