“Little Red Riding Hood Series” - Part I. Straying Off the Path vs. Stepping Out
Rev. Pat Guthmann Haresch
During Rev. Pat’s annual ministerial retreat last Spring, she and three other ministers were given the task of together weaving the story of Little Red Riding Hood into a homily that could be used on a Sunday morning. A series of three sermons has resulted each focusing on a different character/personality in the story. In the first sermon of the series, Rev. Pat will focus on the carefree daughter. How might we approach the unfolding of this the New Year? Allowing warnings of the cautious ones and the fears and worries in our own minds to steer us off our course, skipping along our way while ignoring the dangers in the woods, or by stepping out with purpose into the next adventure.
