swear, that last meeting of the Commish almost brought a tear to my eye,” Bubba professed to his good friend.

     “Oh how is that?” LeRoy queried Bubba.

     “Well it was just such a touching moment, when E.Z. Rider presented Ernie with that plaque and read the letter from Marc B.”, Bubba explained.

     ““Ahhh,” LeRoy expressed.

     “I swear, it just ain’t gonna be the same without the Ol’ Carova Cowboy up there,” Bubba lamented.

“LeRoy chuckled at his friend, “yup, I?reckon those meetings will be a bit drab without our colorful Carova Compadre.”

     Bubba brightened up at his friends flexing of his alliterative talents.

     “Yeah, Ol’ Ernie is a fountain of historical knowledge. He’s seen quite a bit of change o’er on the Banks,” Bubba explained to his friend.

     “Well who do you think will keep the other commissioners in line, and on track with regards to the history of the county?” LeRoy asked sincerely.

     “No tellin’,”?Bubba replied. “I?tell ya what, he surely knows quite a bit, and he sure wasn’t afraid to share what he knew with the other commish,” Bubba continued.

     “Well you don’t reckon they’d hire him on as a management consultant do ya?”?LeRoy quized.

     Bubba aloud, “one thing for sure, bureaucrats and politicians alike love to hire some consultants!”

     “Why do you think that is the case?”?LeRoy asked.

     “Well the way I see it, all that exposure to the rarified air in board rooms and at all these ceremonies they attend - it must be hard on the common sense,”?Bubba proferred.

     LeRoy chuckled at his friends’ observation.

     “So you se, they need to go to an outside source, someone who hasn’t lost their grip on reality - so to speak,” Bubba continued.

     LeRoy laughed aloud again, interrupting his friend, “have you seen what those consultants charge?”

     Bubba eyed his friend suspiciously, and then cracked a smile.

     “Yeah well, when you can’t see the forest for the trees, sometimes you have to hire a bunch of high priced loggers to clear the way.

     They both busted out in laughter…
