Johnny Paul Forehand Sr., 89, of 456 North River Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 at Winslow Memorial Home. Mr. Forehand, a native of Camden County, was the son of the late Caleb Staples Forehand and Pauline Maude Williams Forehand and the husband of Doris Dough Forehand of the residence. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company as Trim Department Supervisor, a member of The Pines Country Club, and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he taught the Couples Class for thirty plus years and a Deacon for many years. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Carlton Terry and wife, Carolyn, of Camden, N.C., and Johnny Paul Forehand Jr., and wife, Dawn, of Bluffton, S.C.; two grandchildren, Steven Forehand and wife, Catherine, and Amy Forehand; and a great-grandson, Caleb Forehand. A funeral service will be Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Combs and the Rev. Dr. John Luton officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and immediately after the funeral service in the funeral home lobby. Twiford ’s Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is in charge of arrangements.
