Currituck County residents can take an active role in county government by applying to join one of many Advisory Boards that support the Board of Commissioners.
There are currently 18 listed Advisory Boards in Currituck, each of which represents a specific field. These include the Airport Advisory Board, Board of Adjustment, Economic Development Advisory Board, Fire & EMS Advisory Board, Planning Board, Senior Center Advisory Board and Tourism Advisory Board, along with others.
Representatives to these panels are appointed by the Board of Commissioners. Citizens who wish to serve on an Advisory Board must submit an Advisory Board Application to the County Manager’s office.
For more information, contact the County Manager’s office at 232-2075.
