A lone robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after robbing the Gateway Bank location at 100 Moyock Commons Drive in Moyock on Friday afternoon.
According to information provided via a news release from the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office, at aproximately 3:50 pm Friday, the robber - a black male about 5 feet 9 inches in height and in his late thirties robbed the bank and then left on foot headed toward the adjacent Food Lion parking lot.
The suspect was described as wearing a gray sweater, grey beanie hat and black or dark colored pants. According to the news release no weapon was displayed in the course of the robbery.
