Nelms Cited for Noise Violation

Currituck County Commissioner Barry Nelms has run afoul of the Currituck County noise ordinance once again. Nelms was cited last weekend for violating the County Noise Ordinance on Saturday, November 22 at approximately 10:32 pm.

Robbery Reported at Moyock Bank

A lone robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after robbing the Gateway Bank location at 100 Moyock Commons Drive in Moyock on Friday afternoon.

According to information provided via a news release from the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office, at aproximately 3:50 pm Friday, the robber - a black male about 5 feet 9 inches in height and in his late thirties robbed the bank and then left on foot headed toward the adjacent Food Lion parking lot.
